UFC Lightweight veteran “The Mo-Town Phenom” Kevin Lee who is 11-1 in his MMA career was on MMA Junkie Radio and was asked about his thoughts on the 19 year old new blood Sage Northcutt who is just 6-0 in his young MMA career.
“I think Sage shuts down after the first round. I think as soon I get in there, hit him a couple of times, he shuts down. I don’t think this kid has ever been through anything. I just know he’s a rich, privileged white boy, and as soon as he gets in there and gets hit and sees some adversity thrown into his face, I think he’s going to crumble. I think I’m a better striker than him. I damn sure know I’m a better wrestler than him, so I think I can beat him everywhere. I hope he’s listening in so he can hear me, he can hear what I’m saying about him. I’m going to call Joe (Silva) as soon as I get off the phone with you guys. We can do it at 194. He’ll live the shortest career that the UFC has known.”
Lee who is currently scheduled to face Leonardo Santos at UFC 194 but wouldn’t mind a late replacement as long as the fighter is Sage.
Sage Northcutt who is coming off a 57 second technical knockout over Francisco Trevino at UFC 192 which reinforced the hype behind the 19 year old phenom with most of the MMA community except for Lee.
I never hate on a mans hustle. McGregor deserves it, he put in the work. Sage has not. He don’t deserve sh*t. https://t.co/z2iaGOWzn1
