Over the years in this wonderful sport we call Mixed Martial Arts we have had some interesting trash talkers. Whether it’s the ones who use it to promote the fight or the ones who have genuine hate for their opponent we’re always intrigued. Without further ado I present to you the Top 5 Trash Talkers in MMA History.

5: Tito Ortiz
Organization: UFC and Bellator MMA
Reason: Tito is in the UFC Hall of Fame for his skills and overall excellence in the octagon. If there was a Hall of Fame for trash talking he’d have his own wing. Tito has had so many memorable opponents in his years in the business it’s hard to choose just one to talk about. Whether it’s when he caused Ken Shamrock to snap and throw a chair or when it was when he was on TUF trying to pick fights with longtime friend/rival Chuck Liddell.

4: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson
Organization: Pride FC, UFC, and Bellator MMA
Reason: Arguably the funniest on this list Rampage started his trash talking before most of the other fighters where even training. Rampage in Pride has some of the best post fight speeches that still stand up today as great promos. When he transitioned to the UFC he never held back saying what he wanted no matter the opponent. His season of TUF: Heavyweights against fellow trash talker Rashad Evans is one reason he has to be on this list. If you haven’t seen this clip look it up and see what I’m talking about.
Most Memorable Quote: “All I got to say there’s gonna be some more black on black crime.”

3: The Diaz Brothers
Organization: Nick (Strikeforce and UFC) Nate (UFC)
Reason: Nick has the ability to be out of the spotlight for years and still be in the top of the UFC’s Welterweight division. Nick has one of those personalities that at first you son’t like him but he backs up everything he says. Plus who else is willing to lay down in a fight against Anderson Silva? Nate doesn’t do a lot of trash-talking but when he does it is incredible. If you don’t believe me look at his Twitter feed whenever there’s a drug bust or a fighter pulling out via injury.
Most Memorable Quote: Nick- “Where you at Georges?”
Nate- *Flipping off Kurt Pellegrino while securing a triangle choke.”

2: Conor McGregor
Organization: UFC
Reason: In his short time in the UFC Conor has become arguably the fastest rising star in UFC history. Conor has mastered the art of trash talking to get the big fights and then using his superior skills to win UFC Gold. No matter if it is calling out opponents before a fight or after they get injured this Irish sensation has no shortage of quick comebacks. Conor is nothing short of a UFC phenom and will for sure need all of his skills when he takes on the UFC Featherweight Champion on December 12th.
Most Memorable Quote: “We’re not here to take part. We’re here to take over.”

1: Chael Sonnen
Organization: UFC and Metamoris
Reason: Mr. Chael P Sonnen is the only man on this list who has talked his way into not just one but two title shots in two separate weight classes. Chael is the master of promotions whether it was declaring himself the undisputed middleweight champion and getting the rematch against Anderson Silva when many thought he didn’t deserve it. One of the best uses of Chael skills on the mic is when he lost the Anderson rematch and transitioned to light heavyweight and got a coaching job on TUF and a light heavyweight title shot against Jon Jones.
Most Memorable Quote: “You’re looking at the reflection of perfection. You’re looking at the man who gets all your attention. You’re looking at the man with the biggest arm. At the man, with the greatest charm, the man in Chicago who will do harm to the guy three doors down. Whatcha gonna do, when you know who? How ya gonna deal, with the man of steel? How ya gonna react to Sonnen’s attack?”
