The first non title fight has been added to potential mega card UFC 197.
Welterweights Erick Silva and Nordine Taleb will do battle in Las Vegas on March 5th, the UFC announced Wednesday.
Silva (18-6, 6-5 in UFC) most recently joined Kings Mma in preparation for this next fight, after suffering a split decision loss to rising contender Neil Magny. Silva has yet to win more than two fights straight in the ultra-competitive welterweight division and will look to get on track alongside his new camp with Rafael Cordeiro.
Nordine Taleb (11-3, 3-1 in UFC) is also looking to get back into the win column after falling to TUF Brazil winner Warlley Alves by submission. Prior to that loss Taleb had won his first three UFC bouts, all by decision.
UFC 197 now looks as such:
-Rafael dos Anjos vs. Conor “The Notorious One” McGregor
-“The Preachers Daughter” Holly Holm vs. Miesha “Cupcake” Tate
-Erick Silva vs. Nordine Taleb
