After making huge waves in the MMA world Monday with his announcement that he is now a part of the Bellator roster, Benson Henderson makes more waves just 24 hours later after ESPN.com confirmed with Bellator officials that he will be competing for the Bellator Welterweight title against Andrey Koreshkov in Uncasville, Connecticut on April 22nd.

Benson fought for the UFC 14 times going 11-3 inside the octagon. He left the promotion on a two fight win streak at Welterweight against Brandon Thatch and Jorge Masvidal, both fights at which headlined UFC Fight Night cards.
Andrey Koreshkov (18-1, 9-1 in Bellator) won the Bellator Welterweight title against former champion Douglas Lima in a one sided 5-round dismantling. Koreshkov has not fought since and will be making his first title defense and comes into the bout on a 5-fight winning streak.
