Former UFC Heavyweight champion Kevin Randleman passes at age 44.

Sad news has passed Thursday that former UFC Heavyweight champion and PRIDE veteran Kevin “The Monster” Randleman has passed away at the young age of 44.

Entimports.com broke the news Thursday evening and was confirmed by Bleacherreport.com journalist Jeremy Botter who details Randleman going to a local hospital with pneumonia and passed later due to heart failure.

Kevin Randleman was the fifth ever UFC Heavyweight champion and has fought for many organizations over the course of his career such as World Victory Road, Strikeforce and PRIDE Fighting Championships. Randleman was considered one of the best wrestlers of his time in the sport and has faced many legendary fighters as Maurice Smith, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Kazuhiro Nakamura, Pedro Rizzo, Randy Couture, Mirko Cro Cop,  Chuck Liddell and Fedor Emelianenko.
