Well that was quick.
One of the best Bantamweights in the world competing outside of the UFC put his championship on the line for the fifth time and ended things quickly and efficiently.
Joseph Barajas came out looking to implement a stern offense, however Marlon opened things up quickly with multiple leg kicks, each one more devastating than the last. Barajas was quick to realize the amount of damage that was being done but by the time Marlon had landed his fifth and final leg kick, it was too late. Barajas collapsed under his damaged left leg unable to keep standing. Big John McCarthy came to the rescue of the challenger before Moraes could continue the punishment.
Moraes took the oppurtunity to put the 145 and 155 lb division on notice, realizing that he may nearly be cleaning out the last of his division. Moraes stated in his post fight interview a desire to compete further up in weight class, sparking new news that we may see the world class Bantamweight compete at Featherweight and Lightweight sometime down the line.
