Results: Gaethje defends his Lightweight title with stunning first round TKO

Gaethje continues his incredible run through the WSOF Lightweight division and does so against arguably his toughest opponent to date in Brian Foster.

Gaethje and Foster both came out chaotically as many expected from these phenomenal finishers. After several exchanges that ssaw both man land noteworthy strikes, Gaethje decided to adjust midway through the first round and started to land seismic leg kicks that noticeably damaged the challenger. Foster attempted to fight through the damage and pain but Gaethje could already smell blood and continued to batter away at Foster’s leg, with his final kick completely deterring Foster from keeping any stability on and falling to the canvas, calling for the referee to mercilessly stop the bout before Gaethje could get in any unnecessary shots.

Foster was immediately stretchered out of the arena upon exiting the cage. More news on any possible injury here on MMAOutsiders.

  1. Dude is making a strong case for Top-10 LW. You’d love to see all of the fighters under one banner and able to fight each other, but you don’t really want the UFC to consolidate all of that do you?!
