WSOF 30 card finalized for April 2nd

On April 2nd, live from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the World Series of Fighting presents WSOF 30: Branch vs. Starks. The main card features WSOF Middleweiht champion David Branch defending his title against top contender Clifford Starks. The co-main event will feature former UFC veteran Jon Fitch facing off against Joao Zeferino in a bout that will crown a new WSOF Welterweight champion.

The WSOF announced at the start of the week the finalized card that started with the announcement of five announced preliminary bouts, rounded out with two feature bouts to fill up the main card. Vinny Magalhaes (13-7) makes his sophmore appearance with the WSOF to face Jake Huen (9-4) in a Light Heavyweight bout that in all likelyhood could determine the next contender for the WSOF 205 lbs championship against main event fighter David Branch. To kick off the main card, which will be airing live on NBC Sports, a Welterweight bout between Abu Azaitar (11-1-1) and Danny Davis Jr. (11-10-1) will start the night off.

The headlining bout for the preliminary card features the younger brother of top ranked Lightweight fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, Abubakar Nurmagomedov (11-1) who faces Matt Frinchu. Both men are currently undefeated under the WSOF banner. Elsewhere on the preliminary card, the debuting “Thunderbeast” Steve Kozola (6-0) will face prospect Gil Guardado (5-1) in a 135-pound contest, and Adam Aquaviva (4-2) vs. Andres Ponce (3-2) will also be fought at bantamweight.
