UFC 200 has now added a fight between in the Women’s Bantamweight Division between #3 contender Cat Zingano and #5 contender Julianna Pena. The bout was reported on EPNW, just one day after the announcement of the fight between the champion Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes.
Zingano has a record of 9-1, with 2-1 in the UFC. Zingano holds victories over both Tate and Nunes. However, her last fight in Febuary 2015 ended in a 14-second submission in the first round to Ronda Rousey. Zingano was supposed to fight Rousey back in 2013, but was replaced by Tate when suffered a knee injury. This will be the first fight Zingano has fought since her loss to Rousey.
Pena has a record of 7-2 and is undefeated in the UFC with a 3-0. Pena is the winner of the TUF 18, who was out of action for year due to an a injury. Her last fight was a victory of #7 contender Jessica Eye in a unanimous decision. Afterwards, Pena became under a suspension for a brief period due to an arrest for allegedly assaulting a bar employee. The suspension has been lifted, allowing Pena to fight once more.
