GSP will take on Bisping in return fight for the middleweight title

Dana White announced earlier on Sports Center that Georges St- Pierre will take on the middleweight champion, Michael Bisping in his return fight. No date has been set yet, we only know that they are matched up. Most believed that Yoel Romero would actually get the next shot at the title after his KO on Chris Wiedman.

We haven’t seen GSP since he won a decision victory over Johny Hendricks back at UFC 167, in his last welterweight title defense. GSP comes into this fight on a 12 fight win streak, but how much will ring rust effect him, he has been out several years.

Michael Bisping is coming in on quite a streak himself, picking up wins over Anderson Silva, Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson. Michael had recently stated that he had never had a money fight, this one should certainly net him a big pay day.

This will be the first time GSP has fought at middleweight. He won his last 12 fights in the UFC’s welterweight division. The last time GSP lost a fight was to Matt Serra way back in 2007 on the UFC 69 card. George won the rematch and never lost again.

Michael Bisping is riding a 5 fight win streak and is at the top of the middleweight division. It will be interesting to see how this fight plays out. Will GSP still be the super strong wrestler at middleweight? Another great question is what about that Go Fund Me money Yoel was raising for Michael Bisping?
