UFC Standout- Zabit Magomedsharipov has announced via Instagram that he is pursuing a career in medicine. He wasn’t clear where this leaves his mma career though.
Zabit last competed in 2019, a win over Calvin Kattar. Since then health issues related to his immune system and surgeries have led to a long layoff and losing his number 3 ranking due TK jn activity. His coach- Mark Henry, revealed last September that Zabit would be returning to the octagon soon. 7 months later, and still no word.
