The biggest fight in headlines these days isn’t UFC or boxing it’s Depp v Heard.
When Amber Heard made accusations against Johnny Depp, Disney were quick to fire him from the Pirates franchise and WB were quick to fire him from Fantastic Beasts.
Johnny Quickly released a ton of proof that he wasn’t the abuser but the victim, but the studios kept him blackballed, but WB kept Amber Heard working in their DC movies; Aquaman 1 and 2 as well as Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Now that the trial is under way and the public are seeing a very clear case that Johnny was abused and never actually abused Amber, signatures for this petition, which were already beyond 1 million before the trial started, and rocketed to 3.6 and will likely hit 4 million soon.
This puts WB in a bad place, because they already made the decision to keep her despite her abuse, and the movie filming has wrapped. But it’s a position they put themselves in. Now Depp seems to be the most beloved person in America, and Amber among the most hated.
This could spell Box office disaster for Aquaman 2. The first film made well over 1 billion at the box office, but if people boycott this for WB’s terrible decision, they could see the new film not even reach half that.
