Mike Tyson will NOT face criminal charges for plane assault

Last month, a video went viral showing former boxing champion- Mike Tyson punching a passenger on a plane. The man had been irritating Tyson; as shown on video, and despite being asked many times to calm down he did not. He then allegedly threw a bottle at a Tyson. The intoxicated man then felt the wrath of “Iron” Mike as mike threw a few short punches roughing him up. (Video below)

Many assumed Tyson would face assault charges , but San Mateo County District Attorney revealed that no charges would be filed because “the conduct of the victim leading up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the victim, as well as the requests of both the victim and Mr. Tyson.”

“We thank San Mateo District Attorney Stephen Wagstaffe, the San Mateo County Sheriff, and all law enforcement agencies involved in this investigation for their careful, diligent, and professional work,” said Mikes lawyers, David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Martin Sabelli.

There’s no details on if there was any sort of personal monetary settlement between Tyson and his fellow passenger.
