In a back and forth affair, Round 1 saw a cut Jan brutalize Rakic with leg kicks and hard punches. Fairly easy round to score for Jan unless you score heavily with a non effective cut.
Round 2 Rakic gets a takedown and controls the round. Round 3 after a leg kick landed on him, Alexander stepped back and his other leg gave out, forcing the ref to step in and stop the fight.
In the post fight interview Jan revealed that he got the cut in camp and a jab opened it back up, and that he had trouble training because of that; because his “car was stolen” and because “he had diarrhea”, the latter evoked laughter from the crowd.
