Munoz became the wrestling coach at Fairmont Private Schools in Anaheim, California in 2020. According to TMZ, the students got into an argument and then went to Mark Munoz — who we’re told was not made aware of the situation — to ask if they could put in gloves and box to work out their issues. Mark allegedly gave the boxing match an okay. Mark believed the boxing match was more jovial than violent.

One of the boys parents however was not so jovial over hearing this. Below is an except From TMZ

“A school spokesperson declined to get into the specifics of the allegations against Munoz, but did confirm the coach has been placed on administrative leave through the end of this school year and will not have his contract picked up once it ends.”

A nice way of saying he’s fired without saying he’s fired. Mark was ranked as high as number 3 in the ufc middleweight division and was very close to a title fight. He fought the likes of Gegard Mousasi, Chris Weidman, Lyoto Machida, Damian Maia and Chris Leben.

  1. I don’t see a.problem with what he did.
I as a parent and owner of a MMA gym it was a noble fix to those boys hashing that out on the street where they could have gotten hurt or even killed. It was a refereed dispute settled under supervision of a coach with an extensive background in the art of fighting.
Here’s what say. If you let a Lillie air out of the ballon it won’t pop as easy.
