The former M1 Global champion entered the fight with UFC veteran Dan Ige as a 4-1 Favorite despite Ige being ranked higher and having faced the better competition. The oddsmakers got this one right.
Evolev showed a well rounded skill set as he won the striking, landed a brutal flying knee, that amazingly didn’t put Ige down. And he did a great job of mixing striking and takedowns that Ige just had no answer for. When the fight ended Ige’s face told the story as he was bloody and battered and Evolev showed little damage at all.
After the win he called out Arnold Allen.
