Former UFC and WEC champion- Anthony Pettis made his PFL debut last season and in a shocking turn of events went 0-2 for the season and didn’t make the championship playoff tournament. This season he opened with a first round finish, that gave him 6 points and guaranteed him a place in the finals. He next fought Stevie Ray, and after a very close fight, Stevie submitted Pettis with a body triangle modified twister in round 2.

Thought Pettis lost, he was already guaranteed a spot in the semi finals dude to having 6 points (In PFL a win is 3 points, and a first round finish is an extra 3 points). Now he has not only a chance for revenge; but with a win goes on to fight for the PFL championship. He’s two potential wins away from being the first man to hold UFC, WEC and PFL championships.
Pettis is currently just 1-3 in PFL. The card goes down tonight on ESPN plus.
